Grass blade, 2024

Upon at the Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville, I was met with a breathtaking sight: a field of blades of grass adorned with delicate drops of water. Unfortunately, the magic was fleeting as the wind soon swept it away. Nonetheless, the early start was worth it: there was no wind, no rain, and very few people. This photograph of a blade of grass holding a drop of water celebrates the beginning of the spring of 2024. Spring is a beautiful ephemeral appearance that reminds us of the transient nature of everything, including that which is young, beautiful and perfect.
