The flower of Echinopsis chiloensis blooms amongst sharp spines, showing that it is possible to thrive in spite of adversity. In the desert, where it's tough for plants to survive, something amazing happens. Among the prickly spines of a cactus, a pretty flower starts to bloom. Its delicate white petals stand out against the dry surroundings. Despite the cactus's sharp thorns, the flower grows confidently, soaking up the sunlight.
